The Everdeclining Economy

The economic downturn continues to be a source of stress inducing fear like never before in our lifetime.  The unemployment rate continues to rise daily and the stock market keeps going down.  It is enough to evoke fear and panic in people and wreaks havoc on one’s health.

We see panic attacks like never before in the ER.  People are just stressed out and feel they have no where to turn.  Bills continue to mount, jobs become scarce, and the foreclosure fear looms in the back of everyone’s mind.

Economic bailouts are doing nothing to stimulate the economy because the people who really need it will never see it.  Why not give tax payers a stimulus check to actually make a difference in their lives and give them enough money to pay bills and mortgages are behind while still leaving some left over for spending? I think a stimulus check for about $10,000 per individual and $25,000 per family would help the economy more than the ridiculous bailouts we are seeing passed.  It would not cost nearly what the bailout packages do and would certainly help individuals and families who really need the help and would use the money wisely.

I wish the government would wake up and help the PEOPLE for a change.
